Accessibility statement

At Apple Tree Literary, we are keen to employ digital practices which do not exclude anyone, including people with disabilities and access needs.

We currently score 86% for accessibility with a Google Lighthouse audit. We have tried to apply best practices such as high colour contrast, correct header nesting, and meaningful link text.

However, we know some parts of this website could be improved in terms of digital accessibility. Some of these are due to the template of the CMS we use. Issues include:

  • Incorrect header nesting in template elements such as the website footer
  • Missing ARIA labels
  • Focus is not always clear

We are working within our CMS to improve accessibility as and when possible. We are always keen to hear recommendations, so if you’d like to discuss our digital accessibility with us, please contact us.
